Tirta Empul Temple

This revered temple is located in the village of Manukaya in Central Bali. Tirta Empul Temple is a legendary place shrouded with a tale of good over evil and is one of the National Heritage sites. The meaning of the name is “holy water spring,” and there is an actual mountain spring in the premises. There are pools, fish ponds and purification baths in the area.

Saunter around the old paths dotted with statues and lush gardens. The temple is segmented in front, secondary and inner courtyard and visiting the entire area will take quite some time. The relics and the statues are very amazing where you can click yourself alongside.

Pick up from your hotel, drive to the western shore of Bali where the Tanah Lot temple is located. Along the way, stops are made at Taman Ayun, which is the Mother Temple of Mengwi Kingdom. “Taman”, in English means “garden”, and “Ayun” or “Ayu” is “beautiful”; so Taman Ayun means a holy place that is surrounded by beautiful water garden. Then it’s on to Tanah Lot temple, arriving as the sun is about to set. Spend some time exploring the temple and learn about its role in Hinduism in Bali. If you are lucky, you will get to see the sun disappearing in the shimmering ocean. Be sure to capture the moments with your camera.

In the second half of the day proceed for Ulluwatu Temple Tour. Uluwatu Temple sits on a 70-meter-high cliff protruding above Indonesian Ocean. The main site of Uluwatu Tours is visiting this temple. There are hundreds of monkeys roaming along the path outside the temple. A small forest lies at the front and hundreds of monkeys dwell here. They are believed to guard the temple from bad influences. The serpentine pathway to the temple is fortified by concrete walls on the cliff side. When the sun goes down, we will witness the Theatrical Fire Dance Show ‘Kecak Fire Dance’. Kecak dance is that the accompanying music is provided by the human voice, the gamelan suara, a choir of a hundred men or more sitting in concentric circles, swaying, standing up, lying prone as the story develops.
